The cylinders could be described as personal narrative collages. Working with the cylindrical form as a canvas for my imagery is exciting and challenging because one can never get the whole picture in one glance. You have to move around the piece in order to experience what’s going on. The open vessel invites you to look into it and constantly offers new views of outside/inside encounters – like an ever changing, flickering collage, like a cyclic film.
Made of glass, a transparent material, the cylinder will change according to the light that exposes it, glowing when lit from the inside and shining when the light strikes the outer surface.
